Michelle Hahn focuses exclusively on family law matters, especially matters including complex child custody visitation issues. She has extensive experience in high-conflict custody matters as well as the legal aspects of marital dissolutions, legal separations, annulments, registered domestic partnership dissolutions, Uniform Parentage Actions (paternity), custody (pre and post judgment), high-conflict custody, third party custody rights (grandparents and other non-parents), move-away cases, stepparent adoptions, adult adoptions, and domestic violence.
Micelle is also formally trained in litigation, mediation, and collaborative methods. She helps guide clients through their many available options, and she understands that each family’s situation is unique when providing a strategy to best meet their goals.
Family law is Michelle’s second chosen career. She holds a B.S. in physics as well as an M.B.A. With 14 years as a hi-tech engineering and management professional and over 17 years of family law experience, Michelle brings maturity, empathy and practicality to bear in her practice.
Michelle is very involved in the local family law legal community and has served on the Sacramento County Bar Association Board of Directors and Sacramento County Family Law Executive Committee. She is a member of several local county family law sections as well as Women Lawyers of Sacramento. Michelle is active in developing and reviewing proposed family law legislation and has served as a Conference of California Bar Associations Delegate since 2006.
